Thanksgivings

We had an exciting time over the Thanksgiving holiday. Ellie and I joined Dave on a long layover in Chicago. We rented a car and drove the short distance to see Katie and Jason in Wauwautosa for Thanksgiving dinner. Ellie did great during the flight and the drive. She did get a little scared by the super friendly dogs; but she's used to Mia so that's not too surprising.

The next day Dave had to continue his trip so Ellie and I took his flight back to Detroit and continued on to Norfolk to see Ellie's Great-Grandma Berniece, Granny Em, Ron, Uncle Seth, Aunt Christina and cousins Abigail and Maile. Ellie doesn't like being in airports and planes all day. Neither does Caitlin.

Developmentally Ellie is doing great: She's able to sit on her own, eats sweet potatoes with abandon, drinks juice and water from a soft sippy cup and is just an incredibly happy little girl. She has said mama but only amid Nazgul-like screams while unhappy so we'll call that consonant development and wait for the happy mama to call it a word ;-)
