The non-stop flight from JFK to Athens was overbooked and we couldn't get on standby, so we connected through Frankfurt. Here's Ellie in her first international airport.

Still in PJs waiting to get on the flight to Athens.

At the Acropolis.

Making the already-impressive ruins in the National Park much more beautiful!

Touchable old stuff!!

Playing in the Hellenic Children's Museum. It couldn't hold a candle to the Ann Arbor Hand's on Museum, but it was a great place to run around.

Waiting for our marathoner! It was warm (not a complaint) and someone was sleepy.

The crowd at the Panathenaic Stadium watching the runners come in.

At the National Park in Athens.

Again.

The old port in Santorini after an 8-hour ferry trip from Athens. Gorgeous! The island, too!

Riding a donkey down to the old port was so much fun!

Oops.

In the steam at the volcano. After this we got back on our excursion boat for a dip in the hot springs. We expected to walk to some nice hot springs somewhere on the islet. We were mistaken. We dropped anchor a short ways out and jumped into the Aegean Sea to swim a couple hundred yards to the "slightly warmer than the rest of the water" bay.

Enjoying our last night in Greece at the beach in Kamari. Aaaaah.
